Associate Pastor

Sherry began working with children and youth while in high school in the church where her father was pastor.  She has been a nurse since 1986, moving to Amarillo in 1988, where she continued in nursing and working in the Children's Department in her father's church.  She met her husband, Kevin, in 1992 and they married in 1995.  She became a member of the Church of the Nazarene after marriage.  They moved to Abilene in 2006 and began working with the Youth Department when Sherry felt the call to become a minister.  She was ordained as a minister in the Church of the Nazarene at the West Texas District Assembly in April 2019.  As of July 2018, Sherry became our Associate Pastor.

    Kevin was raised in the Nazarene church since infancy.  While attending Amarillo First Church of the Nazarene, Kevin competed the Caravan program and achieved the highest award, the Phineas F. Brisee Award.  Kevin met and later married his wife, Sherry, in 1995, and began working in the Children's Department.  Since moving to Abilene, Kevin helped start the Caravan program in 2013 and is President of the Youth Department.

Community Life Group Facilitators

  • Carol is the leader of the FCN Book Club.  She has lived in Abilene for over 30 years and is married to Bernie.  They have one son, Robert, daughter-in-law, Julia, and two precious grandchildren, Ella & Landon.  Carol is an avid reader, loves to sing, and loves movies.  She has been a member of Abilene First Church of the Nazarene for 25+ years and enjoys serving the Lord and His people when and wherever needed.

  • Robert is leads the Men's Basketball Group which meets the first Saturday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the FCN Gym.  He is also the lead audio/visual technician for our Sunday morning services.
