Children's ministry

Our goal here at FCN is to teach our kids about God’s love for them and how to show His love to others

Kids ages kinder through 5th grade are dismissed after the song service to children’s church. Our bible lessons include games, activities and crafts that help our kids learn and remember  God’s word.

Children's Director - Carrie Turnbow

Having kids of my own, I understand the importance of children's ministry in church!  Kids tend to be more receptive to the Gospel than any other age group, so my desire for ALL kids here at Abilene FCN is to find an indestructible joy in Christ and ensure EVERY kid has the opportunity to believe in Jesus.  Do you know who invented fun? God did! Do you know why? For his own glory!  We have a lot of fun learning about the love of God and how we can take that love into the world in which we live.

Caravan

6:00 p.m. Sundays

Caravan is a scouting type program that teaches children valuable skills to help them grow spiritually, socially, mentally, and physically. This program is designed for children in first through sixth grade and follow the school year calendar. Our kids earn badges, learn life skills while learning about God and how to apply their new skills to everyday life. Caravans also has activities such as camp outs and pine wood derby races

Freestyle wednesday

7:00 p.m. Wednesday!

We meet in the Children's Department at 7:00 p.m.

Our Wednesday nights are low key to give kids time to relax and enjoy each others company. We do an object lesson followed by a game and/or crafts.

bible quizzing

Children's Bible Quizzing is a Bible Study for children ages 6-12 (grades 1-6). It is important to help children know what the Bible says so they can demonstrate biblical teachings in real life situations.
